The Vespers is monumental in scale and requires separate choirs and seven soloists. Solo instrumental parts are written for violin and cornetto.

Choral Workshop: 'Come and Sing' Beethoven Mass in C Major, Op.86

Join Exeter Festival Chorus to sing this intensely emotional and profound sacred work in Beethoven’s 200th Anniversary year. Recognised as a masterpiece, it will be directed by Andrea Brown with a solo quartet from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and piano accompaniment by Peter Adcock. The day will end with a cameo performance for friends and family.
EFC will be performing both the Mass and Beethoven’s The Choral Fantasy with Southern Sinfonia in Exeter Cathedral on Saturday 12th June 2027. The workshop is an opportunity to consider joining us as either a singer or a member of the concert audience.
